Snapped at BG: Part 15

Whether you’re a resident of NYC or just visiting, you know that Bergdorf Goodman is where you’ll find the most fashionable people in town. In our fifthteenth installation of Snapped at BG, we got to know some of the fascinating people and fashion enthusiasts who come to discover the world of Bergdorf Goodman.

Elizabeth Chen, Visiting from Hong Kong

I’m a fashion blogger from Hong Kong. Today I’m wearing Dolce & Gabbana and it’s strange because I think it looks chic, but it also kind of looks like I just rolled out of bed.”

Judy Cut, Visiting from Beijing

“I’m here looking for a new pair of sandals, but it’s difficult to find something that fits because western people have such long and narrow feet. I live in Beijing but both of my kids are going to school here in the States. I prefer western education because here they allow kids to build up their own personality and they encourage them to become anything they want.”

Nane Miller, New York Resident

“I’m from Costa Rica. I live downtown, but I love to come up here to walk around and window shop. I’m super into Latin American designers. I love Efrain Mogollon; he’s from Venezuela.”

Teresa de la Pisa, New York Resident

“My work and sense of style is influenced a lot by the Caribbean. These shoes were my first pair of Brian Atwoods and I bought them here at BG 20 years ago. They’re timeless and I love them.

I started as a fashion designer, but now I make sculptures. I think it works becuase my sculptures are very fashion. They actually sell them here at BG! You can find them on the 7th floor and also in Linda’s shop on the 4th floor.”

Asako Fukuda, visiting from Tokyo

I used to be a clothing buyer, but I quit my job so that my husband and I could start a French restaurant in Tokyo. I’m currently learning a lot about wine, which is exciting. My jacket is from the Japanese brand Sacai. The pants are Max Mara and the shoes are from Sportmax. My favorite designer is Dries van Noten.”

 Hoang Dinh, New York Resident

“I’m from originally Vietnam but I live on the Lower East Side. I come to Bergdorfs all the time, but I’m usually at the men’s store. I’m only in the women’s store today because I had lunch with friends.

My style? Crazy. I’m wearing a Louis Vuitton top and a vintage wrap skirt from Comme des Garçons. My bag is from Supreme. I think Kim Jones is doing the most creative work in the fashion world right now. I don’t care about any celebrity, but if I saw Kim Jones in public I would scream.”

Phyllis Kossoff, New York Resident

“Today is my birthday! No better way to spend it than coming here. I’m wearing Armani, which I resurrected from my closet. When I was feeling a bit down people told me that I needed to get up and get dressed and go to the mall. So I did just that, but my mall is Bergdorfs. It worked.”
