In our twelfth installation of Snapped at BG, we spoke with one of our most interesting groups of customers yet. Each of these individuals had rich, beautiful stories to share that immediately captivated us. Whether it was about their personal relationship with legendary deisgner Oscar de la Renta or their fruitful career as the former Editor-In-Chief of VOGUE Arabia, these men and women reminded us of just how passionate, enthusiastic, and stylish the BG customer truly is.

have known each other for more than 10 years. In Madrid, people know us so we never get compliments on our looks, but here in New York it’s great because we surprise people. We LOVE a pattern. Can you tell?”
I’m a fashion designer. My daughter is a fashion designer, too. She’s my competitor! She has a corner on the 6th floor, her line is called Adeam. My shoes are from my collection, Daisy Lin. People ask me about them all the time. They’re very light and comfortable, even though it doesn’t look like it.”
Every time I come to New York my first stop is the Bergdorf shoe department. A few years ago I saw Rihanna wearing white suede pumps at a photo shoot. I called Linda (Fargo) and told her she needed to carry them. So BG started carrying them and they sold out like, five times.”
I moved to New York City the day that I graduated from college. I’ve lived here for 50 years now, and I’ve been coming to Bergdorfs since day one. When I shop I like to buy good investment clothes. You know, things that I’ll want to keep in my closet for a long time. I still have a lot Oscar De La Renta and Yves Saint Laurent from a LONG time ago. I was a good friend of Oscar De La Renta. We met in the Dominican Republic over 40 years ago. At the time, I had no money and I was newly divorced with little children. He took me under his wing.”
I find my fashion inspiration on Instagram. I follow a bunch of Korean influencers. I love the Korean style; it’s very simple and less colorful than American fashion.”
