Watch it: J Brand’s Fall Collection

Have you been paying attention? J Brand has made quite a few changes in the past few seasons.  Previously celebrated for their perfect-fitting jeans, J Brand has officially entered the world of ready-to-wear — and in a very big way.  For Fall 2013, J Brand’s creative director Donald Oliver explored darkness through a progression of creative expressions and stages of creative angst.  Divided into four chapters, Oliver examined the omnipresence and strange beauty that darkness holds.  Beginning with stark simplicity (think clean lines, leather jackets and icy midnight blues), making stops in gray’s shadowy world — as well as in the raw, ungroomed wilderness (shaggy jackets, animal prints, untamed textures) — before ending in deep, velvety darkness.  This is a collection that conjures visions of dark, nighttime adventures while adhering to J Brand’s definitively downtown aesthetic.

Like what you see? Join us next Thursday, October 10 for 5F After 5 with J Brand, Beyond the Row, Natalie Off Duty and Edward Bess!  See the latest styles (while getting a good does of styling help, if that pleases you), try out J Brand’s Photo Ready jeans (whose hidden shape-wear features purport to make you look almost a full size smaller) and have our favorite Southern charmer give you a quickie makeover before you set out for a night on the town. RSVP
