Spring Highlight: Sports Max
You don’t have to be sporty to get into the Sports Max groove. Think Helmut Lang. Think Wang. Think scuba touches on a racer-back dress. Clean lines and zippers. Black with bold color blocks. Cushnie et Ochs meet Balenciaga, now go have a nice little fashion work-out remix. A little avant garde with a minimalist twist. Think aerodynamic. Think strong brows that edge on mean… and a little neoprene. Like those Jimmy Choo zip-front scuba kicks in fluorescent orange or black with neon pink lining.
Sports Max is covered but body-hugging, peek-a-back vents and other keen cut-outs. Go light with Rag & Bone’s perforated leather tee paired with tight black high-waisted pants; perhaps some spaced-out shoes for good measure. Heavy hitters (gym-rats perhaps?) will dig Wang’s geometric wears patterned like a Tour de France peddler, a little high-collared Rick Owens, Heather Payne and such. Top it off with a slick-backed pony, strong brow and nude lip, and practice your paused-in-motion pose ’cause you’ll need it.
