Shoes have a funny way of controlling us, captivating us… leading us to unexpected places that can surprise and charm. Today our shoes led us to our newly-renovated Shoe Salon where we took more than a few moments to get lost in its comforting residential feel and expanded space. Here you’ll find your favorite styles mixing with new names like Tom Ford, Charlotte Olympia, Brunello Cucinelli, Nicholas Kirkwood and Brian Atwood. Not only is the space larger, it’s brighter (illuminated by Fifth Avenue’s eastern light) and accessorized by furnishings created by commissioned artists and artisans like the Alexandre Loge rustic bronze sconces, Malcolm Hill metallic friezes and Aldo Tura-designed tea carts serving up shoes. And, because we understand what a timely experience the shoe search can be, we’ve added extensive seating areas that feel like cozy sitting rooms within larger rooms. The light is warm and residential; between the Loge sconces and a scattering of table lamps, our salon feels more like a home away from home… because that’s how we want you to feel when you’re with us: welcomed and right at home.
