As we’re oft to deck our wrists with a parade of mixed media, our digits seem a bit bare. Yes, there’s the larger-than-life statement ring and the ones that whispers Yes! and I do, but options beyond that are, for the most part, nil.
Fortunately our jewelry girls are keen to the treasure hunt, and this Fall stacks mark the spot. (Specifically layers and stacks upon stacks of the daintiest of diamonds and such…) With crisp colors blocked by microbands of emeralds, black diamonds and orange sapphires, a once-upon-a-time simple ring becomes part of a bolder, individual statement. Style is all about attention to details, and nothing is more detail-oriented than a jumble of Martin Katz mixed with Sylva & Cie and Sally Sohn. When creating your own stacks, consider odd-numbered combinations — the grouping will seem more natural and less staged. Also, play with shapes and contrast; set an octagon band next to an art deco affair of rose gold and emeralds. Mix and match the combinations, and change them frequently… because what’s the point of being a ring leader if you’re not going to have fun with it?
