Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic with Wes Gordon
Summer is on the brink. And what better way to bask in June’s balmy rays than by watching the finest horsemen to hold a polo mallet? Throw Wes Gordon into the mix and you’ve got a chicer-than-chic Saturday.
And that’s precisely what we’re offering you.
Enter our latest Polyvore Challenge (POLOvore Challenge, to be exact) and you could win a chance to not only attend the impossible-to-get-into Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic taking place this Saturday, June 2 on the sublimely gorgeous Liberty State Park but meet the ever-so-charming Wes Gordon. All you need to do is fashion a look fitting for the Classic using a piece from Wes Gordon’s Spring Collection (full rules are here). You must submit your Polo Classic look to our Facebook Polyvore tab no later than just before midnight on Tuesday, May 29; and, since this is a bubbly affair, you must be over 21 to enter and attend the soirée. The winner will be announced Wednesday via a Polvyore message so, if you entered, please be on the alert for that. Also, dear entrants, keep in mind that transportation to the event is in your hands.
So how does one dress for the Classic? Think grand floppy hats, oversized sunnies and a kick of vintage jazz-age appeal. You may want to browse Veuve Clicquot Classic’s page devoted to Polo Style. Wes’ Spring Collection is bursting with printed frocks and hues pitched to perfectly complement the Classic’s keen yellow Penelope Parasol made expressly for June 2nd. So get your looks ready and styled — Wes and I cannot wait to see them.
