P.S.- I Made This… on 5F

Erica Domesek shares her denim essentials

PS – we love the DIY-wunderkind behind P.S.- I Made This… Not only is Erica Domesek unbelievably crafty, she interprets fashion in a way that is both relatable and incredibly on-point.  Ever since we met Erica we’ve been trying to think of the perfect event to host with her… and the day has finally come!
Join us this Saturday on 5F for an afternoon of Denim DIY
with Erica and the P.S.- I Made This Team – using fabrics from 5F favorites like J Brand, Rag & Bone, Mother Denim, AG Jeans and Current/Elliott.  But before we meet Erica in person, let’s get to know her Spring Denim Essentials.

Spring has sprung… well, kinda! It’s April 4th and truth be told, my open-toe shoes are screaming to play, dance and frolic.

Although it’s been a chilly winter and early start to spring season, I have already kicked off my spring fling, starring my favorite partner-in-fashion: Denim.

Denim has always been my go-to neutral for day and night. It’s the best material that can morph a style from a downtown cool, casual vibe to an edgy uptown chic’ness to a relaxed weekend flirty feel– faster than you can say 5F!

My rules for incorporating different denim looks into your day to day are simple… Don’t wait for a get-together to GET IT TOGETHER.  Here are some easy and eye-catching looks that everyone should rock this spring season… I have already begun!

The Boyfriend Jean: Cuff and rock with an open-toe sandal for the perfect casual and fun girls night out. For daytime, on the weekends, pair with a bright hued ballet flat.

The White Jean Jacket: A fresh alternative to a blue jean jacket that brightens up an outfit and gives a SS13 haul over in seconds.

The Pastel Jean: It acts like an accessory. Choose a bold and sweet hue that’s perfect for you. Right now I’m hooked on my JBrand peachy ones.  Pair with a white blazer and tee.

The White Jean: Every chick needs this staple in a skinny style for weekend soirees. They are classic and the ultimate vacation pant.

The Distressed Denim Jacket: Throw over just about any dress from cocktail frock to a long maxi for day or night. It will be your best friend.

The Camo Jean: Add a little edgd with a downtown vibe while rocking this flattering pattern with a white tee and shrunken leather jacket for a date night any night.
