Kate Somerville Makes A Personal Appearance

And shares her best tips for facing the new year with confidence!

The New Year signifies new beginnings. For me, it’s not about making resolutions. Instead, I think of it as a time to reflect on what makes me feel happy, healthy, and connected…and incorporate more of these practices and habits into my life in the New Year. Integrating internal, external, and emotional wellness is a key part of my year-round lifestyle.

Healthy, organic foods help keep my body and my skin looking its best. There are some amazing Farmer’s Markets in Southern California. Buying local fresh fruit and vegetables supports my community and provides the freshest, in-season produce.

One of my favorite jump-starts is a juicing cleanse. A vegetable juice cleanse makes me feel energized, plus it’s a great way to detox. It’s my way of staying on track.

I love being outdoors and spending time with my family. It doesn’t feel like work when I’m outside being active with my son and my husband! As we age, we lose muscle mass, so it’s important to also incorporate strength training exercises to build core muscles.

The New Year signifies a time for renewal. Every year, I schedule a Pearl treatment at my Clinic. The Pearl is a laser that resurfaces the top layers of the skin and delivers light to the tissue for further rejuvenation. It’s amazing for improving texture, getting rid of sun damage and improving fine lines.

The most important factor in developing good habits and a healthy lifestyle is consistency! We’ve all heard it before, but consistent changes add up to real results. Be conscious about your choices, and celebrate what’s contributing to your wellness. - Kate
