If there’s one dress that will carry you from Summer to Fall, it’s this little plum number from Halston Heritage (212 872 2840).  Falling within autumn’s purple reign, this jersey style is deceptively flexible, drawing upon the darkly romantic moods seen on Fall’s runways (just see the above picture for an idea to give it romantic simplicity) while still being entirely appropriate for summer wears.  

So just how malleable is this dress?  Today we gave it a polyvore spin to see just how it can go from an urban summer safari (with the help of Donna Karan, Ashley Pittman and Milly) to feeling Office Appropriate with clean accessories from Jason Wu and Marni.
