From Paris to Abu Dhabi: 58th Street gets a bit Carried Away
Bergdorf Goodman hosts a Sex and the City 2 screening with HP and Conde Nast
The City. The Fashion. The Closet. The Scene… and it all came to life on 58th Street.
Last night, guests of HP and our friends at Conde Nast celebrated Sex and the City 2 and, in just a few steps, traveled from Paris to Abu Dhabi. Beginning their evening at the Paris Theater, guests enjoyed a private screening of the not-yet-released film, then walked just a few steps to our own entrance where they were greeted by belly dancing and the thumping beat of DJ Hapa. Inspired by the film’s trip to Abu Dhabi, the Main Floor transformed into an Arabian oasis – belly dancers replaced our Hermes and Goyard counters, peacocks rested on the rotunda’s chandelier, and lanterns dangled overhead.
Guests enjoyed a Moroccan feast as they played with HPs new Spring Collection of glittering laptops and sleek touch-screens (not to mention HPs Photo Experience). Those navigating the scene included Sex and the City 2 stars Willie Garson and Mario Cantone, photographer Nigel Barker, Alina Cho and Thom Felicia - as well as a surprise visit by Sex and the City’s Renaissance Man Michael Patrick King.
