top-five voted Fendi Frenzy 2Bag submissions

Earlier this year we invited you to join the Fendi Frenzy by creating and choosing a 2Bag that would be  available exclusively at Bergdorf Goodman this Resort season. More than 1,200 entered the color challenge before submitting more than 12,000 votes; the top-five voted bag colorations were sent to the Fendi design team who selected the winning bag by John L.  Today we are thrilled to announce that it has arrived on the Main Floor.  To celebrate, our winner shares thoughts on his submission.

Life moves by so quickly that I’m always striving to make each day better than the last. With so many ups and downs in the world, true passion is what drives me towards maintaining this attitude: For me, art and fashion are those passions in my life. They work together harmoniously and have an intertwined relationship that feed off of one another. In other words, art is fashion and fashion is art.

When the competition to help design a Fendi 2bag, I jumped at the opportunity. I viewed it as a chance to compete and collaborate on a project for one of the biggest Italian fashion houses and arguably the most influential luxury department store. As a Graphic Designer and a fashion enthusiast, it was important for me to create a truly unique look with a purpose.

I wanted my color-blocking scheme to be unconventional-chic, while still bridging the gap between fashion and function. The base is a rich neutral cognac which serves as the foundation. The body is a vibrant teal which plays as the focal element of color. The handles are lime green, the secondary point of visual interest. And finally the tag is tan, complementing the rest of the bag.

It was also imperative that I represent the Fendi and Bergdorf Goodman customers with my design – she’s strong, confident and fashion-forward. This dynamic color scheme transcends seasons and will definitely make a statement wherever you go!
