BG Beauty Girl Standouts
We asked Graphic Designer Stephanie to have a play with the pretty palettes & share her thoughts . . .”I’m normally not an eye makeup kind of girl but decided to give the Edward Bess quads a whirl. “Over the Moon” is my favorite. What I like most about this collection is that the palettes all come with four coordinating eye shadows. As a makeup minimalist this took the stress out of picking the “right” shades. And even though the shades are all pre-selected, I like that I can pick and choose how I want to apply them to alternate my look. Initially, I was worried that the colors might be a bit too much (again, I am a true beauty minimalist), but I was surprised…each shade seamlessly blended with my skin tone and matched! The look is subtle yet refined. Given this, I would say the quads are perfect for everyday wear. . . and they’re practically goof-proof.  I don’t have much of an eye crease and I normally feel like eye shadows sit weird on my eyes. However the Edwards Bess quads blend really well with the contours of my eye lid and deposit a nice hint of color. It’s a subtle difference that isn’t too overwhelming…perfect for this bare bones beauty girl in the making.” - Stephanie, Graphic Designer

EDITOR’S NOTE: To quote Stephanie, “goof-proof” eye shadow palettes make experimenting with color fun and easy. Generally, the lightest shade is swept across the lower lid, the mid tone at the crease, the deeper shade at the outer corner, and the shimmery shade is softly blended near the brow bone. But feel free to take creative license and customize looks to suit your mood — try using the darker shade to rim the entire eye and highlight the brow bone with a soft neutral shimmery shade. . . this delivers a wonderfully modern smoky eye. For a soft daytime feel, wash the lower lid in a mid tone shade and lightly line with the darkest shadow. This gives subtle impact that’s perfect for the office. - Felicia, Beauty Editor
