Official Contest Rules
You must be at least 18 to participate and a legal resident of the United States. Hotel and transportation to New York are not included.
Hotel and transportation are not included and will be winner’s responsibility.
No purchase necessary. Deadline for entry is 8/24/10. Participant must be at least 18 years of age. Participant may enter contest by submitting completed entry materials on 5th/58th, the Bergdorf Goodman Blog.
One entry per person. Participant must be the registered account holder of the email address provided. Employees of Sponsor, or its affiliates, and their families are not eligible to participate. Decision of judge(s) is final. Four (4) finalists will be selected from all participants who submit complete entry materials. Sponsor reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of finalists.
Finalists will be given the opportunity to participate in the final Face-Off judging at the New York City Bergdorf Goodman store on or about 9/10/10, by executing their makeup “look” on a live model within a specified time period before a panel of judges. One winner will be selected and will receive the prize of a mentoring lunch with Trish McEvoy at BG restaurant , a $1000 Bergdorf Goodman Gift Card, and a selection of Trish McEvoy projects and professional makeup brushes. No substitution or transfer is permitted, and it cannot be redeemed for cash value which is five-hundred dollars ($500). Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a different designer in the event that Ms. McEvoy is unavailable due to illness or other reason outside of Sponsor’s control. Lunch to be scheduled at a mutually agreed-upon date and time. By entering, entrant agrees that Sponsor may post entrant’s name, photo and entry materials online, in email and elsewhere. Sponsor is Bergdorf Goodman, 754 Fifth Avenue, New York, NY 10019.
Limitation of Liability: By entering, participants release and hold harmless Sponsor, its parent, subsidiary and affiliated companies, respective subsidiaries, directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability or any injuries, loss or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with this Contest or acceptance or use of any prize won.
Miscellaneous conditions: The Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. The Sponsor is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or telephone lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or entry to be received by Sponsor on account of technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant’s or any other person’s computer relating to or resulting from participation in this Contest or downloading any materials in this Contest. If for any reason this Contest is not capable of running as planned due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Contest, the Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process and/or to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest.
Right to cancel Contest: Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest.
Choice of Law; All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules or the rights and obligations of entrants and Sponsor in connection with this Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the substantive laws of the State of New York without regard to conflict of law principles.
