Designer Highlight: Wes Gordon

2 10 2012

Atlanta-born designer Wes Gordon took Fashion Week by a storm this time last year during an intimate presentation at the Empire Hotel just across the way from the week’s home base at Lincoln Center. Enthusiasts touted the St Martins graduate for his feminine, almost-noir silhouettes that whispered echoes of sirens seen on the silver screen in the 1930s and 1940s.  It was a refreshing twist to see that level of grace and maturity on someone so young.  A student of both Oscar de la Renta and Tom Ford, Gordon’s beautifully tailored looks caught our eye and, in August, found their place on our Fourth Floor.

For Spring, Gordon presented us with a daisy field of happiness: bold blue; cheerful, sunny yellow and prints that spoke to luncheons and lingering afternoons spent at the MET.  Wes’ lady is graceful and polite, an optimal conversationalist.  And today we are thrilled to introduce Wes and his stylish charm to BergdorfGoodman.com.
