With the thrill of last night’s red carpet still fresh in our minds, we’d like to shine our spotlight on our latest evening designer, Martha Medeiros. Already popular in her native Brazil, Martha will make her highly-anticipated arrival to our fourth floor evening salon tomorrow, February 28th and Wednesday, February 29th.

Featuring unique designs created with rare Brazilian Renaissance lace hand-made by approximately 250 artisans in small villages in northeast Brazil, Martha’s designs exemplify her passion for art and time-honored craftsmanship (each dress takes hours upon hours of manual labor). This is a singular opportunity to meet a designer who has preserved levels of craftsmanship that only can be found in villages along the river St. Francis and on the remote island of Ferro and brought them to the black tie world. Look for flirty cocktail dresses and modernist gowns touched by forthy mermaid silhouettes (shapes with which you may already be familiar with seeing from Zac Posen, Monique Lhuillier and Lela Rose).
