BG Obsessed: Touch Me Texture
This week let’s take a stroll through animal magnetism. We’ve already established that the point-toe pump is the creme de la sole this season — so let’s expand upon that notion… with a touch of texture. That’s right, we’re talking about hair calf. And, to Linda’s delight, this season’s shoes offer a menagerie of prints — from zebra and giraffe to the ever-reticent snow leopard. Starting on 5F, 3.1 Phillip Lim sees midnight blue spots while Stuart Weitzman proffers the point-toe in dappled cheetah prints and slim stripes. Looking for a winter white? Isabel Marant kicks things up a notch with a creamy two-toned hair-calf and suede wedge boot.

Meanwhile in the Shoe Salon, our panoply of prints ranges from an oxblood Brian Atwood ankle boot to Giuseppe Zanotti’s blue cap-toe leopard spots. Fendi and Alexander McQueen keep things black and white with zebra and snow-leopard prints, respectively. Looking for something less printed but equally interesting? Consider Tom Ford’s ombre over-the-top over-the-knee boot. However those looking for a more traditional print should trust Walter Steiger and Tabitha Simmons to present perfect prints.
