A beauty tip so incredibly genius. . . so immediately complexion-enhancing. . . so effective after just one application — we simply had to share.

Our Beauty Editor, Felicia, divulges a skin care tip that delivers instant glow. Let’s perk up for this one!

While doing the tweet-around-the-clock-tweet-tastic twitter thing that I do, I engaged in a rather game-changing exchange of tweets with @KateSomerville. The topic of conversation was “at-home peels” (fact: I love a good at-home peel). . . and @KateSomerville chimed in to share a skin care tip that knocked my Rockstuds off!

Add one pump of Micro Glycolic Polisher to your regular night time moisturizer for a little overnight mild exfoliation. Wake up glowy.

Of course I immediately incorporated the tip into my nightly routine (beauty guinea pig, much?) & wouldn’t you know it — hello glowy AM skin! Below, a little basic glowy skin arithmetic. Follow along. . .

I’ve been doing the one-pump-of-Micro Glycolic Polisher-routine every other night for about a week now & my skin looks absolutely divine. . . and yes, I feel a little weird/un-humble complimenting myself, but it’s the truth. This morning I tweeted a picture in my fluffy blue DVF vest – and in response, I received about six @replies about my skin. And that’s when it hit me to share my Kate Somerville tip with you…

A few things you need to know about Kate Somerville Micro Glycolic Polisher (212 872 8824):

The primary use is as a weekly exfoliating treatment. The professional-strength at-home peel is ideal for problematic skin (ME!), including: mature, oily (ME!), sun damaged & thicker skin types. Using a combination of Glycolic and Lactic Acid polymers, Kate Somerville Micro Glycolic Polisher resurfaces, restores, tightens, and tones skin. Furthermore, it promotes healthy cell turnover and softens the look of not-so-funny laugh lines and facial creasing. While formulated for all skin types, I recommend proceeding with caution — start slow if you’re new to using Glycolic based products. Try Kate Somerville Micro Glycolic Polisher as a once a week exfoliating treatment. (I’ve been using Glycolic on my skin for over 10 years, so I tend to be slightly more aggressive) As skin adjusts, occasionally incorporate a pump into your night cream (as per the doodle above).
