Each Friday we seem to find ourselves browsing sunny 5F for the latest looks to complete our weekend look. It only made sense to turn our regular tradition into a regular date on 5th/58th.

Packing Tips for your Weekend Getaway

Packing Tip #1: 2-for-1 is always a good thing especially when talking about denim. Packing Tip #2: The right size scarf can be one of the most functional pieces you’ll own. We like using Erdem‘s scarves as a top, swimsuit coverup, beachy headpiece or blanket during travel (particularly when it comes to keeping warm on the Jitney, LIRR or Delta Shuttle). Packing Tip #3: Light-weight shoes that are also size manageable are key for your weekender bag. Packing Tip #4: Summer sweaters are essential. A light-weight style like this style from Vince can double as a shirt, jacket, pillow or be thrown over a dress to stay warm as the sun sets. Look for warm materials with loose knits or cotton sweaters that are light and can be rolled up in your bag. We tend to wear ours on the plane or car ride to save space and keep warm.

Packing Tip #5: Bring along a piece that can work as a top or dress. We’re wearing this Thakoon Addition shirtdress over white jeans, alone with wedges or flats, or tucked into a skirt.
