This trip to the country of Georgia where I was born was especially inspiring because it was my first time back since I left with my family at the age of 2. I went to Tbilisi which is the capital where I was born and Kazbegi which is in the Caucuses mountains.

While in Kazbegi we took a 2 hour hike to the top of one of the mountains and this picture was taken there. You feel as if you’re on top of the world in one of the most serene and untouched places in the world.

On our trip to Kazbegi we had to stop in Gudauri along the way and admire not only the view but the amazing Russia Georgia Friendship monument built in 1983 to symbolize their treaty.
