Tanya Taylor Paints The Town

Designer and art enthusiast Tanya Taylor has put a personal touch on New York City. In collaboration with the 100 Gates Project, emerging female artists were commissioned to paint Tanya Taylor Fall 16 collection prints on 3 roll-down security gates around the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Tanya enlisted strong, ambitious women including Kitty Cash, Athena Calderone and Pari Ehsan to style the same prints, and shoot their look in front of the corresponding art.  The result? Amazing imagery of the interesting women who wear Tanya Taylor, and the city that inspires her.  “With this partnership, our prints can live on in a different medium than clothing,” says Tanya Taylor. “I love seeing an unexpected pop of color on my way to work each morning, and I hope that these gates bring some joy to people’s lives, if even in a very small way.”
