Last night Bergdorf Goodman kicked off Designers Off Duty, a new series of intimate events that takes you inside the private lives of the fashion industry’s top designers to gain a closer look at their off duty interests. From sketching to cooking, each designer will present a unique and exciting passion that we’re thrilled to share with you every month. First up, Phillip Lim hosted a cooking class where guests learned how to make his favorite shrimp summer rolls, an extension of his passion for food, which is echoed in his latest cookbook “More Than Our Bellies.”
Guests including supermodel-slash-designer Liya Kebede, Bergdorf Goodman’s Fashion Director Linda Fargo, stylist Rachael Wang, Lyn Slater of Icon Accidental and more, arrived to BG’s newly-renovated 8th floor loft to a spectacular spread of fresh ingredients and stunning views of Central Park. Shortly after, Lim guided the table through a quick and easy approach to his summer rolls paired with a beautiful wine selection.
Be sure to stay tuned to the next installment of Designers Off Duty featuring Jason Wu.
