Behind The Scenes: Gabriela Hearst NYFW

Before her first Runway show at NYFW, we went back stage with designer Gabriela Hearst to take a closer look. The New York based designer’s show was created with minimal environmental impact, using chairs from her home topped with cashmere throw pillows created with leftover yarn from her native Uruguay. Her passion for the environment inspired key pieces from her collection including a soft pink coat made from Loro Piana fabric that was produced in surplus. Sourced responsibly, there was just enough wool left over to make 10 of these beautifully draped coats, so we’ll need to act fast. A BG buyer favorite was the long plaid coat and a Swarovski crystal adorned black velvet gown. Shop Gabriela Hearst now on 3 and on BG.com.
