An uncontested highlight from Paris Fashion Week was slipping backstage at the Dries Van Noten Spring 18 Show. Held at the decadent Hôtel de Ville, it was a display of what Dries does best: effortless layering, unexpected color combinations and a sophisticated dose of sparkle that still felt wearable. Dries said that he wanted the collection to feel optimistic, and what a much needed dose of joy it was. Clever tulle layered over knits, bejeweled suiting as a new evening option, scarf print tunics trailing over a slim cut trouser: there was so much to love in this collection.
Meet the man behind the iconic brand: Dries Van Noten will be at Bergdorf Goodman Wednesday October 11th on the 3rd floor.
