Meet Angie and the World Famous Pontani Sisters!
With a dash of burlesque and plenty of high kicks, this dynamic trio already stunned Fifth Avenue last Fashion’s Night Out.

They return this September 8 and promise to charm us with their Fashion City kismet.

BG: This isn’t your first time to perform in BGs windows… however, had you ever braved the fenestration scene before?
AP: Oddly enough I have performed in a few store windows in my life, including Bergdorf Goodman during last year’s Fashion’s Night Out, and I can say hands down that was the best window I have ever shaken my tail feather in.

BG: What is your most memorable on-stage blunder? …hopefully it didn’t take place in a window!
AP: My worst on stage blunder happened when my sisters and I were performing a 1950′s style Jungle Exotica dance, there was a part where I do a fan kick over my sisters head, for some reason I put my hand on the top of her head and when I pulled it away, I also pulled her wig off! I panicked and just ran away from her with her wig in my hand, then she started coming after me on stage, it was quite a moment! The stage manager closed the curtains!

BG: Your costumes never fail to inspire… do you have any favorites?
AP: My absolute favorite costume is a gorgeous green mermaid gown that was made for me by Garo Sparo, my costume designer. It fits like a glove and has a gorgeous italian gold lace overlay as well as about a zillion and a half yards of tulle and the full part of the skirt, it’s a dream.

BG: Now here’s something we like to ask our designers: What is your worst childhood fashion memory?
AP: My parents were very fashionable, so I can’t blame them for dressing me in anything tragic! I can however blame myself for some questionable choices, like a Mickey Mouse polo button down shirt that I bought when I was considering trying to be preppy for 2 minutes… that didn’t work out at all. I didn’t realize that the Mickey logo was not as “cool” as the La Coste one. I returned to my lil’ guidette style very quickly and haven’t left it!

BG: Care to share any guilty pleasures?
AP: Just one….Spumoni Gardens pizza in Gravesend, Brooklyn

BG: And, finally, what’s your first BG Story?
AP: My aunt and uncle took my sisters and I shopping at BG one year for our christmas present. I got an amazing dress and shoes that I still have to this day (8 years later), I can’t get rid of them, I feel like it was my first adult shopping trip!
