The time has almost come… starting today our curtains will close on Fifth Avenue and our talented Visual Department will begin their almost two-week installation of our highly-anticipated Holiday Windows.

With fantasy destination in mind, David Hoey and his team of artists will create a complex world of day tripping — where getting there is half the fun.  This is where Voyage dans la Lune and Jules Verne intersect… where intricate paper sculptures and jeweled creatures join Hoey on his trip through Victorian aviation, vintage futurism and more.

Adding a twist to tradition, we’re giving you the opportunity to create your own Holiday Window through our Polyvore Holiday Windows Challenge.  Using some of the inspirations and fashion favored by our visual team this holiday season, we want you to dream up your own Holiday Window and submit your collages between Friday, November 5 — Friday, November 12.  Linda Fargo, David Hoey and our tweeter Bergdorfs will choose the winning set.  The prize?  A $2,500 Bergdorf Goodman Gift Card, an autographed copy of our new limited edition Windows at Bergdorf Goodman hardcover book by Linda Fargo and David Hoey, an invitation* to our book signing and holiday window unveiling party later this month, and a private tour of the holiday windows by David Hoey himself.
