It’s not every day that you have the opportunity to join a mishmash of big thinkers and shakers. However, thanks to the New Museum and their creative collaborators, downtown this week is a colorful Festival of Ideas. Including symposia, lectures and workshops, this four-day jubilee includes conferences with David Byrne, Joseph Grima, Elizabeth Diller, Frank Duffy and more. The Bowery also will host a StreetFest filled with innovative grassroots organizations and small businesses — rain or shine (so bring your umbrella).
