Meet the Experts: Advice, Wit & Sartorial Wisdom

Previous Next

When you crack into the last week of February, you have worn your heavy tweed long enough, your shawl-collared sweaters, your long overcoats, your flannel trousers. You’re ready for some linen, a bit of citrus, a lightweight raincoat, a bit of optimism. Maybe a crazy Vilebrequin swimsuit, that’s as fortifying as a fistful of Vitamin C.

Then come down to the Men’s Store on Saturday—it’s full of brand new Spring clothes, from shirts to suits to ties to sweaters. Does that sound overwhelming? Well then you can have a tete-a-tete with Matthew Singer, our Fashion Director. He is a dapper man who understands how the modern man balances his wardrobe between work and play. He is a terrific guy who will give you good advice (but don’t let him convince you he’s a good dancer).

We’re also excited to have representatives from some of the best brands throughout the store, like heavyweights Brioni, Ermenegildo Zegna, Isaia, Kiton and Tom Ford (212 339 3313). They can help you navigate the best suits and shoes and sportswear for the season. Make sure you find your way up to the New Designer Third Floor for Bottega Veneta, Gucci, Michael Bastian, Todd Snyder, Billy Reid among others (212 339 3339).

It’s going to be a fine affair, with music, a few surprises, and a definite feeling that spring is in the air.
