About Last Night: I Am Dandy
The Dandys hit up Fifth Avenue last night as our good men celebrated the new book I Am Dandy written by Nathaniel Adams and photographed by Rose Callahan. It may seem like a rarified calling — dressing the dandy way; however this week our dapper Goodman devoted his sartorial best to the art of dandyism, with the help from our friends at Brioni. Not only were our Fifth Avenue windows dedicated to the tome, Cator Sparks’ Fergus played the ultimate #BGDogs in printed bowtie while the handsomest of waiters passed ’round Devils on Horseback and Braised Beef Short Ribs while wearing perfectly-knotted Brioni ties.
Donning their sartorial best, Dandy Wellington and his Band (also clad in Brioni) entertained while the rest of the style book’s honored gentlemen Patrick McDonald, Esquire’s Nick Sullivan, Ft Greener Sean Crowley and GQ Style Guy/BG Magazine editor Glenn O’Brien enjoyed Balvenie scotch with a side of cravat. Even Goodman faces Lex and Brandon made an appearance, bashfully (and adorably) admitting that they were completely shocked to see their likeness overlooking Houston and Lafayette. It was the perfect way to celebrate our newly-renovated Second Floor, and guests took advantage of scoping out the new Brioni and Zegna boutiques. Yes, this was a night to remember — a night dedicated to perfectly-tailored suits, attention to detail and celebrating the art of dressing well.
I Am Dandy is available on the Seventh Floor. Call 212 872 2758 for more details.
