Last night Bergdorf Goodman continued its exclusive Designers Off Duty series, which consists of intimate events that take you inside the private lives of the fashion industry’s top designers to gain a closer look at their off duty interests. From sketching to cooking, each designer presents a unique passion that we’re thrilled to share with you. For our fifth installment, Proenza Schouler’s Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez taught a mixology class just in time for the holidays.
The event took place at BG’s intimate 8th floor space, where customers mingled with McCollough and Hernandez while sipping the three drinks on the evening’s menu: the Mezcal Mule, the Negroni and the Cricket Ball. “We figured because it was December and after six o’clock, we could drink,” said Hernandez to the guests that included influencers Lainy Hedaya and Olivia Lopez, as well as Bergdorf Goodman’s Chief Merchant Yumi Shin. While the drinks were the main focus, pieces from the label’s pre-spring collection were also on display—highlights of which include a feather-trimmed cocktail number and the “re-editioned” bug print dress coined a favorite by the designers themselves.
